PuTTY Portable

PuTTY Portable is a lightweight SSH client for Windows, along with an xterm terminal emulator. It allows you to securely connect to your systems while on the go.

Install PuTTY Portable as you would any Portable App, or directly from the project page.

When you run PuTTY, the configuration window opens. The default configuration usually works fine and all you need to provide are Host Name and Connection Type. Press the “Open” button at the bottom of the dialog box, and PuTTY should connect you to the server.

If there is a specific host you want to store the details of how to connect to, you should create a saved session in the Session panel of the configuration window.
